I too found your website from the Hugh Hewitt show. The Hugh Hewitt show is the most interesting and informed radio program on the air. Hugh is right on with current events of the world. Hugh is a little misguided with his choice of athletic teams. I look forward to reading your website.

I was brought to conservatism through listening to Dennis Prager (starting with his Religion on the Line show). Hugh Hewitt is a staple for me (as is Rush, Medved, etc) and I'm here because Hugh has been talking up this site on his show. I think this is the way to go in order to keep conservatism alive. Give 'um h*ll Michael.

I am a big fan of Huge Hewitt and I heard him talking about this new conservative twitter site. I have no idea what it is to twitter but I would love to learn and be a part of changing the political landscape we are all in today.

First off, thanks for ranking me on the TCOT list. It's about time we come together to oust the power drunk politicians (with both D and R after their name.) And by we -- I mean Conservatives, Market-Liberals, Objectivists & Libertarians -- together. I hope we can directly & unequivocally invite in people from each of those groups.

For far too long we've lost on the stage of public perception because the right remains segmented, while the left (no matter what their differences in final agendas) come together in one cohesive force.

Looking forward to having more of an impact.

It is time we all grew up and exhibited some sophistication in how we act as it relates to this Republican party we supposedly love and support. Racist actions and deeds have no place in the party. The lack of sensitivity in understanding the historical election we just had and the challenges this nation faces as we must bind our wounds as well as bring our people together requires that we set aside our biases and search out those constitutional principles inherent in our nation's foundings and our parties operation which must undergrid us as we move forward.
This is the party of Lincoln and it was founded on the backs of the oppression of blacks. If we are to be the leading party we had better understand that and act responsibly in addressing the needs of all of the citizens as we strive for more inclusiveness.

I just joined TCOT and have been reading the first few posts here idolizing Hugh Hewitt. I stopped paying much attention to Mr. Hewitt after he said that it was "probably a wise thing for the media in this country to have refrained from publishing the Mohammed Cartoons," or something to that effect. He even debated the wisdom of essentially going along with the fatwah with Cliff May. I wrote him and asked him to explain his position to me. He declined.

With all due respect for Dr. Fisher and her heritage, I have to take exception to her statements here. First, I am not sure what she means when she writes that the Republican Party was "...founded on the backs of the oppression of blacks." So I beg her to clarify this remark.

Second, according to our new understanding of the founding of the GOP, she exhorts us to "...act responsibly in addressing the needs of all of the citizens as we strive for more inclusiveness."

That an active member of the GOP would keep with a liberal concept they call "inclusiveness" is disturbing and, unfortunately, a manifestation of the decline of the Party. Inclusiveness, despite the meaning it would suggest, is word that liberals use to divide the nation into groups of "victims" of society. I, for one, hope that the GOP is NOT striving for inclusiveness.

Now, that said, I believe this group is peopled by "conservatives" and not "Republicans." Failing to make this distinction will lead to the further decline of GOP. Conservatives' mission now is save the Party from itself and I would hope to see this group vigorously defend its principles against the liberal mindset that continues to seep into our party.

In this day and age we as Americans are overwelmed by the extreme excesses of information and spin. It is the Conservative that is able to look past all of that and see to the truth of the matter. Lately those of us who have seen the truth are getting more than a little frightened by what we see coming at us in very short order.

The Constitution of the United States is being ripped to shreds by regulations rather than laws and those regulations are being enforced as laws. A frightening thought don't you think?

It is up to and emcumbant up the conservative to fight and protect both our Constitution and our nation from the overwelming foolishness that is currently taking place, or we will loose what our fore-fathers fought so hard to bring about, and we will loose it through complanceny and sheer laziness. It's time to instill some common sense back into America!!

I'm sorry that the Republicans lost. Maybe had you held your party's feet to the fire, America would not be in the mess she is right now. Do you really think that the Republican party is going to change and all of a sudden found GOD? This is simply an attempt to hijack well meaning people to put them to work for the Republican machine. I've seen enough of the Republican machine...and the Democratic one too! Both are in it up to their necks and BOTH are responsible for the mess that is America. Leahy, your time would be better spent asking why the Republican party does not repent to America for what it has done to her!

After the passage of the 3.5 trillion budget by the House and the overwhelming passage of every admendment today in the Senate and the unconstitutional manner in which this is being "shoved" through the Senate, I am not only ANGRY, I am SCARED to death for my children and yours!! This is thee most reckless and fiscally irresponsible budget plan I have ever seen come out of Washington in my 40 some years! Everyone thought the Bush years were bad, well we are all in for awake up call now, because this is going to change America as we know it and NOT for the better. The increase in the size of Government is just one small part of this, the larger and more concerning part of it is, which programs will be growing and for how long we have now committed the funds to these programs. Does anyone really believe that "after the economy gets back up" then we will cut or cut back these programs and pull back the funding? If anyone does, please call me cuz I have one of those "ocean front properties in Arizona"!!
Lets pretend you are really rich, just indulge me for minute lol, and you want to invest in a business...I am the sales person and I say "I have the perfect business for you, They are in debt up to their ears, 1/4 of their workforce is laid off, and right now as we speak, they are going to borrow unprecidented amounts of money and they are going to use this money to grow the management department, a kind of "stimulus for the business" and by the way...the company will need to probably borrow quite bit more in the near future, and the President of the company a guy named "Obama" and the other 2 top mgmt team members, Reid & Pelosi, they are going to run this company without listening to the board recommendations and all decisions will be made by these 3, Now....DO YOU WANT TO INVEST IN OUR FUTURE?

Excellent tutorial for service businesses! The follow-on course for merchandisers is just as good!

The boundaries on the page are set wrong so that when you try to look at the list you can't see all the information. It's an easy fix but makes a huge difference in readability. Without the change the site is nearly useless.

The meta description still has the default joomla! Description that should be changed and the rockettheme bug at the bottom should be removed. Let me know if you need help with this.

There is a new, free website, PublishALetter.com that allows one to submit letters to the editors of all the key newspapers in the US and the world. The letter can also be posted on the site itself. The site is neutral and it does not welcome mass mailings. However, it can be an important additional avenue for the TCOT audience to have their independent voices heard and shared.
